Some 17,000 plastic ducks were released April 3, 2011 during the 7th annual KinderMourn Hope Floats Duck Race held at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. The 2011 fundraiser brought in more than $100,000 in net proceeds. The USNWC is a premier outdoor recreation and environmental education center located in Charlotte, NC.
