Pumpkins_045.jpg
The annual hunt for the great pumpkin -- or at least a pumpkin suitable for carving into a spooky Halloween jack-o-'lantern -- took place in October 2009 at Carrigan Farms, located north of Charlotte, NC, in Mooresville, North Carolina. The fifth-generation farm offers Halloween pumpkin seekers an opportunity to tromp through their vine-filled pumpkin fields and even pull home-grown pumpkins right off the vine. Carrigan Farms also gives hayrides and fresh apple cider during pumpkin-hunting season each autumn.
