Scene-setter and on-track action photo from the 2012 Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup race held May 27 (Memorial Day Sunday) at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. The annual 600-mile (965.606 km) race, first held in 1960, is the longest race sanctioned by NASCAR. Quaker State Chevrolet driver Kasey Kahne, with the Hendrick Motorsports group, won the race, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin. It was Kahne's 13th career win.
