Thrill seekers gravitate to Carowinds Theme Park's 2009 debuted roller coaster, the Carolina Cobra. The 125-foot tall twisting serpent ride zooms riders into three inversions, including a cobra roll and a 360-degree loop - both forward and backward. The boomerang roller coaster is built on a steel tubular track. The thrill ride is part of Carowinds, a 112-acre theme park is a combination amusement park and water park located on the state lines between North Carolina and South Carolina. The theme park is a popular summer Carolina attraction, one of three major theme parks in the Carolinas. Charlotte's Carowinds is owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.
