Professional hoop dance performer Vivian "Spiral" Hancock captivates the crowds in downtown Charlotte NC during First Night Charlotte 2010. Spiral Hancock's movement art spins hula-hoops all over her body while contorting and acrobatically flipping through them. Hancock performed on stage during the family-friendly public event (no alcohol allowed) is an annual cultural New Year's Eve celebration held in downtown / uptown / Charlotte center city. Charlotte First Night - An Imagination Celebration brought together artists, musicians, dancers and more from across the country. The New Year's event is organized by Charlotte Center City Partners, which facilitates and promotes the economic and cultural development of this North Carolina urban core.
