Thrill seekers zoom toward the ground facedown and backwards on the unique Nighthawk thrill ride flying coaster, the Carolinas' only roller coaster that soars riders through eight inversions. The thrill ride is part of Carowinds, a 112-acre theme park is a combination amusement park and water park located on the state lines between North Carolina and South Carolina. The theme park is a popular summer Carolina attraction, one of three major theme parks in the Carolinas. Charlotte's Carowinds is owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.
