Kayakers glide across the water on private Renaissance Aruba Island in the Caribbean Sea. Renaissance Island, owned by the Marriott chain of hotels, is about 40 acres large with two horseshoe shaped beaches protected from the Caribbean sea currents by rock breakers. Aruba remains a popular tourist destination, with international planes and cruise ships arriving daily. Aruba, part of the Lesser Antilles, is famous for its white sand beaches, blue/green waters and mild climate.
