The Charlotte skyline with Marshall Park in the foreground. The park was originally constructed in 1973 as an Urban Renewal project. A 1.24 acre pond and fountain sit in the middle of the park. The park provides an open green space for citizens and lunch time patrons and is also capable of housing small to medium size events. The park is located at 800 East Third Street, the park covers 5.43 acres and is bordered by East Third Street, South McDowell Street, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, and First Baptist Church.<br />
