Athletes competed in the 2013 Carolinas Spartan Race, held March 23-24, 2013 at the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) in Charlotte NC. Spartan Races are extreme obstacle course races held around the nation to give ultra athletes the chance to test their resilience, strength and stamina in an extreme -- and extremely muddy -- setting.
