Flower_Girls007.JPG

A teenage girl helps sell flowers at her family's flower stand in downtown Charlotte, NC. The family grows flowers on their North Carolina farm, then sells the fresh-cut flowers in bulk, as mixed-flower bouquets and as skillfully designed impromptu flower arrangements from under a tent on Tryon Street, a few blocks south of Charlotte's Square in the heart of downtown Charlotte. The florists operate their farmers-market-type flower stand most weekdays during the summer, serving customers who work in uptown Charlotte. In addition to offering shoppers good deals on fresh cut flowers, the flower growers are a bright oasis on Charlotte's city streets.
