Campers at YMCA Camp Thunderbird on Lake Wylie enjoy a day on the lake. Camp Thunderbird, located in Clover SC (York County, South Carolina) is just over the Carolina border from Charlotte, NC. It is a popular overnight camp that attracts youths from around the globe. For its 2011 summer sessions, the overnight camp introduced wake surfing (shown here). Similar to wakeboarding, the surfer trails behind a boat and surfs the boats wake (while no longer being pulled by boat).
